Esther, she is a dear friend of ours. We used to work together for a few years. I stay with her and her family whenever I visit the city. Last two months when I was with her, she was going for a check up, to find out the lump she had in her breast was cancerous. And it was. So she had to have a surgery. The doctor found out that it was 2 B stage, so her breast was removed also.
I called her up yesterday to let her know we care and pray for her. We talked for sometime, she was as cheerful as usual. In the course of our conversation, she said " I am grateful to God with what happened to me", it is drawing me closer to God." The whole time she was testifying how Jesus was with her every step of the way, and prayers sustained.
I was thinking "wow, it's amazing for someone to say "I am grateful" after they just had a surgery and had her breast removed. The grace and trust that God has given her surpasses any sorrows, any trials and will bring healing, I am positive. Our gratefulness brings down the blessings of God.
I had no idea... did they get it all? Will she have to continue any kind of chemo or other treatment? I really hope she's doing better.
